How much does it cost to get a custom screen saver developed?
|
|
We price the development of our custom screen savers based
upon the amount of images, scanning, text and effects requested.
We also have standard packages at fixed prices.
|
What are your standard packages and what do they cost?
|
|
Our standard Rotation Package and Anotated Package accomodates up to
12 images. Each additional image would be an additional $1.00 each. The
Rotation Package is $20.00 while the Anotated Package is $35.00.
The difference in the two is the use of anotation (text) in the Anotated
Package. We'll scan the first 12 images for free and each additional
scanning costs $1.00. We also have a Logo Package for $10.00, which will
bounce your company or organization logo around on the screen.

What's involved with installing the screen saver ... is it easy?
|
|
It's very easy! Each of our screen savers come within a self-installing exec,
a Readme file, a software use license agreement and an uninstaller.
|
What is a software use license and what is in it?
|
|
The software use license agreement will have your name or organization as the copyright owner and has the usual "Not Responsible for Damages, etc." legalize.
The user will not be allowed to continue installing the screen saver without
agreeing to the terms of the license. The exact wording of the
software use license agreement is :
(c) 2009 [Licensed Owner] (hereafter "the copyright holder"). All Rights Reserved. All logos, names and graphics herein are trademarks of and copyrighted by the copyright holder. The materials included in this screen saver are the property of or licensed by the copyright holder and are protected under the copyright and trademark laws of the U.S. and other international jurisdictions. This Screen Saver is NOT public domain or shareware. You may make copies for your personal use. You may NOT upload this utility to any online service, network, bulletin board, or the Internet. You may NOT make copies for any commercial purpose. Any unauthorized use will subject the offender to civil or criminal liability under applicable laws.
Limitations of Remedies
By using this software, the user specifically acknowledges that the copyright holder is not liable for any loss or damage caused by or arising out of any use of this software.
This software is provided on an "as is" basis. In no event shall the copyright holder be liable for any special, consequential, indirect or similar damages, including any lost profits or lost data arising out of the use or inability to use the software or any data supplied herewith even if the copyright holders have been advised of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim by any other party.
Some states do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages so the above limitation may not apply to you.
In no case shall the copyright holder's liability exceed the purchase price for the software.

How will the final screen saver be delivered to me?
|
|
We place the finished product on our server for you to download. You will be
given the path and name of the file to download as soon as it is ready.
If you wish to have a copy mailed to you on floppy disk or CD, there are additional
costs for the media and for shipping.

Will I be able to test or preview the screen saver and provide any modification requests prior to the final version?
|
|
Yes. You will be given access to a preliminary or prototype working model of the
screen saver for review and testings. Any requirements changes can then be forwarded
for inclusion prior to final release.

Why does the screen saver stop after a few minutes and display a black screen with the words " You Have Been Enjoying The ... Screen Saver ..."?
|
|
The version of the screen saver that you have has a timeout feature built in. This
feature will be disabled in the final release upon receipt of payment.
|
Can I resell the screen saver you develop for me?
|
|
You are free to sell, distribute or reproduce the end product as you deem fit.
|
Are there any licensing fees involved with reselling the screen saver?
|
|
No. There are no licensing fees involved. It's your software to do as you wish.
|
Can you volume produce copies of the screen saver on floppy disk or CD?
|
|
Yes. If you need multiple copies reproduced, we can help you with that too.
Production costs vary depending upon the run of copies needed. Costs for
floppies are in the $0.50 to $1.25 range per floppy depending upon the run.
Costs for CDs are in the $5.00 to $7.00 range per copy depending upon the run.

Do you have any sample or demo screen savers or multimedia that I can try?
|
|
Yes, we have many fully functional screen savers and multimedia programs for you to download and enjoy.

What operating systems do your screen savers run on?
|
|
All our screensavers and multimedia presentations
will run on all Windows platforms.
They will not run on Mac operating systems.

Can I provide my own images for the screen saver?
|
|
Yes, you may send any images to us on a floppy, CD, email or anonymous ftp.
We also support any photographs or drawings you wish to have scanned for use.
All photographs, images and data media mailed to us for use will be returned
upon completion of the screensaver or multimedia presentation. Scanning of
photographs and images are free for the first 12 photographs or images.

Can I provide you images in JPG and GIF format?
|
|
Yes, our screensavers and multimedia presentations
support .BMP, .JPG, .TIF, .GIF and almost any other image format.
|
Can I choose the color scheme for the background and text used in the screen saver?
|
|
Yes, you have full selection over the colors used for backgrounds, texts and shadows.
|
Can I include music or sound effects in my screen saver?
|
|
Yes, our screen savers support .WAV and .MID sound or music formats.
You may send any sound or music files on a floppy, CD, email or anonymous ftp.
All data media mailed to us for use will be returned
upon completion of the screensaver or multimedia presentation.

What kind of special effects can I get in my screen saver?
|
|
All images can be static, in motion or
fade.
All sounds and music can be played, repeated, interrupted or restarted.
Controls can be added to allow the viewer to make selections as needed.
|
How long will it take to get a screen saver developed?
|
|
If you order one of our Logo, Rotatation or Anotated screen savers, it will be ready within 3-5 days. Custom screen savers will take longer to prepare.

How do I forward my media (images, sounds, text) to you for inclusion in the screen saver?
|
|
Any media you wish to provide us (images, sound files, etc.) can be emailed to us, snail-mailed to us or
placed on our anonymous FTP site for us to pick up:
